Class Descriptions
Pre-school
Classes:
Our preschool members develop a passion for
movement and fitness, while learning valuable social skills in a fun, safe, and
positive, family-friendly environment.
1,2 & U 18
mo. and older
This is a semi-structured program for children 18 months or older
accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 18 years old. This class is great for developing your
child’s listening skills, learning how to take turns, and developing hand-eye
coordination and other motor skills.
One parent/guardian will join their child in a fun-filled class, while a
trained coach will instruct parents in teaching their child the fundamentals of
gymnastics. Class begins with a group stretch,
and proceeds through a set of stations on a variety of gymnastics apparatus.
Little Leapers Minimum
of 3 yrs and older
Little Leapers learn basic body positions and fundamental motor
skills through activities and creative movement. Participant must be potty-trained (no pull-ups) and will be
introduced into the big gym occasionally. In this program, children will put
their listening skills to good use! Following
a 10-minute stretch, Little Leapers will move from station to station with the
instructor rotating to help each child.
Ratio 5:1
Tiny Tumblers* 4
yrs and older
In this class, students are introduced to basic body positions,
fundamental motor skills, progressions, and gymnastics terminology through
activities and creative movement. *Little
Leaper skills and Tiny Tumbler skills may seem very similar to the naked eye,
however this is a instructor-recommended class: participants must have mastered
all skills taught in Little Leapers must be evaluated by their current
instructor before enrollment. Ratio 6:1
Junior Jumpers* 4
years and older
This program incorporates fundamental skills and progressions with
an emphasis on strength, flexibility and coordination through activities and
creative movement. *This is also an instructor-recommended program: this class
is learning advanced skills and must have already mastered skills the prior
levels. Participants must be evaluated
by their current instructor before enrolling in this class, and students new to
our facility can arrange for an evaluation prior to enrollment. Ratio 8:1
In our preschool gym, it is important to note
that we only do an obstacle course on the last week of each session. All other weeks are designed with specific
stations. Participants will be assigned
a station and will remain at that station while the instructor visits each
station and helps each child before asking the class to rotate to a new
station. This provides more repetition,
one-on-one instruction, and encourages children to learn independence,
patience, and focus. Each class goes out into the big gym every week,
alternating weeks in the pit and on the trampolines.
